There exists only one kind of child in this world.
A child absorbed in doing something without need of praise, reward or fear.
There seem to be different kind of children in this world.
Stubborn, easy going, angry, shouting, naughty.
But when a child finds something that interests her everything else vanishes.
What remains only is a child absorbed in work.Our child's environment today is filled with distractions and incentives. Adults lack time.
To finish our food plate also the child needs to come first. To finish their work the child needs a star.
Sometimes a chocolate. And when rewards stop working, punishment.Our schools have periods of one hour each.
As if the child's interests is like a switch which can be switched on and off.All of this takes us away from this child. Takes the child away from finding their flow.A child learns to walk by herself, learns to speak by herself. A child is naturally capable of effort. And choosing the direction of effort. Of finding work that does not cause tiredness at the end of day but rather energizes them. Work without need of reward, praise or fear.This is possible for every child. Let's find that child.
